Sobering

Whatever else has happened this year, at least I haven't had any student fatalities. Yesterday, Mike, the other 9th grade English teacher, sent me this:

Mike: my friend's gchat status is "the only thing that could make this day worse just did"
so I wrote to her: "*SUPERMAN IS DEAD!??!?!"
and she responded"no, my favorite student is."

10.5 days until spring break.
