They call this period the "Semester Slump." Students drop out, stop turning in work, cut class, act like idiots, and generally flake out. Teachers do the same thing, apparently. I felt like such a slacker for not having any enthusiasm, but a few of the others clued me in that teachers really need a few days right now, too.
Too bad Baltimore City interprets "Semester Slump Recovery" as "Hey, let's give the kids 2 days off, and make the teachers sit in 2 days of boring staff development meetings!"
Curses. Is it May, yet?
